Disney Wonder, Room 2122 review
Disney Wonder, Room 2122 review

I shared this review on a few sites:

We recently sailed the Wonder in room 2122. The room was chosen for us by Disney as an OGT.

I liked it was near the elevators. I did not hear noise from the elevator lobby.

We did hear/feel vibrations from the engines when docking or leaving port, but it was a quiet background noise and only small vibrations.

We initially thought that the outlets on both sides of the bed were international, but quickly realized it was an odd port that did both American and international. I really appreciated that there were outlets on both sides of the bed.

There was ample storage space.

We found the door and some of the walls were not very magnetic. The connecting door and bathroom doors were the best places we found to hang magnets. The stateroom door would hold strong magnets, but not less magnetic items.

We heard our neighbors very clearly - moreso than on prior DCL cruises. It didn't help that at least one was sick with a cough and another had some feisty littles who were loud and liked to kick the door.

We didn't use the fridge/cooler nor the hairdryers.

A card was not needed to operate lights.

We found that both the buttons on the safe and on the tv remote required precision and force. Either they wouldn't acknowledge a press, or would think there was a double press.

We found a sock from a previous cruiser under the vanity mirror and behind the hassock. However, we know that there is very little time for stateroom attendants to get ready for the next set of guests. The room was kept very clean the entire 7 night cruise.

We did find that the bed was short. It was our first time where our suitcases (the same we've used for many other DCL cruises) did not easily fit underneath. Instead, they needed to be squished a bit to fit under. Luckily, we have soft sided suitcases that allow for that. A hard sided suitcase would not have fit at all.

Would we choose this room in the future? Despite a great location, no. The issues with the safe/remote and short bed were enough to look at other rooms instead.

Addendum:

I forgot to mention on the reviews how multiple times of the day we heard loud noises above us. In reviewing the deck map, it appeared we were directly under the primary doors to Tiana's Place. Each time they were opened for breakfast or lunch, and closed after dinner, we heard them. We also heard all the thumping when a kid was jumping in line. This is another factor into why we would not chose this room.
